The Unsung Hero Named Strife

There’s an order to tragedy and scarring of life…found in the unsung hero named strife.

By Robert Bautner

Dear mother,

Looking back, it may not have been about me nor about you, but the pain of strife like a dagger of a knife, that tears up one’s life, through unintended consequences, filled with offenses.

You’re my mother! What happened? I became a participant, that began so magnificent, through my daddy’s exuberance within. A part of a plan that consumed my life, that tells of the unending endurance of life.

Leaving me to separate out the intended from the unintended, this all came with consequences. Your love was senseless, it was all superficial. You told me it was beneficial, or was it prejudicial to benefit me? Because I was different? This was all your decree. What was I to believe?

There’s an order to tragedy and scarring of life

Ask yourself, “why are difficulties so necessary, when they clang and clash?”

Errors in judgment that tear up one’s soul but forges our pathway through life

Revealing the beauty that only a fool would loathe
